When to tune and clutch

Hey guys, have a brand new rzr 900. Just broke 4 hours on it. Is it ok to tune and clutch it? Tia

If you have bricked your ECU or made it unresponsive during a reflash I can likely fix it. Sometimes if a flash gets interrupted or stalls at just the wrong time during a reflash it loses the ability to communicate to the ECU through the data plug to flash with a flash device such as Bullydog or Powervision. This is a problem when that is your tuners only way to get info in there. I can likely revive you ECU by rewriting the communication code portion of the ECU. At Bikeman we are much more than just tuners that use box store flash software. We know the actual binary functions of the ECU and can do things way beyond just changing tables. If you have "bricked" your ECU get ahold of me in most cases I can fix it for way less than a new ECU.

I'm looking Into doing a aem Infinity ecu in my rs1. Looking for people that have used the infinity and looking for some feedback on the tuning platform as well as what plug and play harness you used. It's weird because on the aem site it says 2016 turbo has one harness and 14-15 xp1k has another. Well I have a 18 rs1. Pretty much a 19 1000xp engine, dash and engine wire harness. I'm confused on what plug and play harness I need or if they even make one that will fit my rs1. Also I'm looking for a place to get a base map for the infinity if I go that direction. I'm running a 2860r turbo on 5-12 psi and have larger Injectors. Would b awesome if I could find someone that can make me a base map with my injectors already scaled as well. Also possibly looking for a tuning facility in north east Ohio that could tune the infinity.

Bullydog Tuner from MTNTK issues

I have a 2016 Turbo and bought the Bullydog from MTNTK and have had problems getting it installed.
(I was getting corrupt files but bullydog remoted in to my PC and updated the files.. great work!).

But I installed one of the 3 MTNTK tunes for the first time last week and it took the tune just fine. But now when I hit around 3000 or so RPM's the engine light comes on and RZR goes into a limp mode (no power, running rough). A restart of the engine and it clears it, until I hit the RPMs.

Any ideas? This is frustrating.

I’m curious if anyone has had the same issues that I am having.

PV3, 2017 Injectors,
When I write a certain dealers tunes to my XPT it’s lops extremely bad, AFR’s at an idle are around 16-18 @ idle. When I take it out and go WOT it’ll just pop and bang. AFR’s are through the roof, then it’ll finally kick itself into limp mode.

When I write the 2016 XPT Dynojet tune for the 2017 injectors it’ll sit there an purrrrrr like a kitten.

Took it back to the stock injectors and stock tune and even with the most aggressive tune for the 2016 stock injectors it’s fine.

Removed all the files from the PV and tried to install them again with the same results.

Even took the WALBRO 342 fuel pump out and installed the whole asm out of a 2019XPT with the same results.

And of course I called BIKEMAN and left a message twice now. Maybe I’ll hear something back later in July.

Do the 2017 XPT use a different timing MAP?

PVCX ride command compatibility

Ive had a PVCX (with AA tunes) on my 17 xpt4 for a while now, and its worked great until... I installed my ride command.

the PVCX display will just randomly lose all the gauge readings (still backlit and powered just no gauge readings) then cycle on and off while im riding.

I emailed Dynojet and after about a week or so I got a reply asking if I was running the ride command and if so that the buss traffic just randomly gets interrupted thus loosing the data stream.

I emailed a reply and cant seem to get a response or dynojet to help me with the issue and didnt know if anyone else was having problems? If there's a fix such as a software upgrade or???

13 RZR XP 900 Tuner Problems

I just bought a 13 XP 900. It has a full Yoshi exhaust and the Yoshi PIM-2 fuel controller. Guy gave me a good deal because he thought the engine needed rebuilt, but its not burning oil, it does smoke though but its fuel. On start up it smokes but then goes away at idle, hard acceleration produces smoke but then goes away, same on deceleration, but at cruising no smoke. He said it didn’t use to smoke then one day at the dunes it just started. Im thinking the controller went bad? Is this a thing? I looked up the controller and its supposed to come with software so you can download maps but I don’t have this and have been searching for it. It also seems to stutter a bit at high speeds (60-70) at full throttle. Does anybody have any advice on what I should do? Or has anybody had this problem? It sounds awesome and pulls hard, the wife doesn’t want to ride with me though because of the smoke and fuel smell.

I have a 2018 RZR 1000XP and my buddy just bought a 2019 RZR 1000 Turbo so obviously i need as much HP as possible to "keep up"

Looking for the best aftermarket kit out there without doing major motor work for HP gains.

I see bikeman is offering 11-12HP for $1,895.00 with dyno sheets to back up their data.

RVS performance is saying 15HP for $1,659.00

Any others out there?

15' RZR 1000 Aftermarket Turbo

I have a 2015 Polaris RZR factory 1000 with an aftermarket turbo & clutch kit and exhaust. Stock engine, no other performance modifications. I bought the unit used from a repair shop that was using it as a demo to sell RZR parts & service. I've recently learned a bit more about the back story behind some of this and that there are 3 letters that make many people cringe... API. It's an API Turbo Kit & Exhaust along with an "API" AEM Stand-Alone ECU and harness.

The issues:
I've had the unit for 3 years and have put less than 500 miles on it, it's always ran great until it gets hot, then it runs on 1 cylinder. Let it cool down and it will take off running great again. This year it still is running fine, doing the same issues; but had gotten to the point where it was having hit and miss starting issues. Sometimes it would start and run fine, sometimes it would not want to start and when it finally would it was weak with a rough idle. Now its to the point where it won't start at all. I've been chasing it for years as I rarely have time to use it let alone work on it and finally taken some time to research it a bit. I've downloaded the AEM Infinity Tuner software along with Data Logging, but unfortunately the machine won't even start now to do any data logging to find out what's triggering it. I believe I know what's wrong, but hate to start buying parts without knowing for sure.

The installation instructions for the AEM Stand-Alone ECU & Harness state the 3 Coil Driver MUST be mounted to a metallic surface to allow for heat dissipation. Come to find out, it was NEVER mounted to anything. I believe that unit has just been fried, however it sounds like that may not be the case anymore.

AEM Technical Support thinks its the crank sensor. Speaking with Alba Racing, they think there are deeper issues as the crank sensor is reading engine speed, so it appears to be functioning correctly. He said the AEM harness supplied for API were problematic and could be the issue, also said it may have jumped timing. We are going to start checking voltage at the connection between the factory harness and the AEM harness.

It's got fuel and turns over, but won't fire. Sprayed a little either just to see if it would fire on either and it won't which leads me back to coil issues as it's not getting spark.

We haven't started to dig into it real deep yet, but figured I'd see if anyone has any ideas or have had similar issues.

Does anyone know if there is a Handheld Tuner for a 2019 rzr xp 1000 Dynamix? So far I've had no luck finding one that work with the dynamix sxs.

I had a PVCX on my Rzr that died, so I replaced it with a PV3. but the new tuner cant read my ECU because it already has a djt tune in it. I get error 206 that says I need to flash a stock tune to the ECU which I cant do because the PV3 wont talk to the ECU. I was hoping someone on this forum knows the fix ?
