Dobeck gen 4 on 570

I put a gen 4 dobeck on my 570. I got it all hooked up and at first the gauge would stay at 10( or whatever the lowest is) but when I matter the gas it would cycle all the way around then back to 10 and not move. Now the gauge just will not do anything. I mounted my 02 sensor about 6 in back from where it connects to the muffler, so don't know if that's my problem or bad gauge. I have a video of the gauge but not sure how to upload

Group Buy - BMP ECU Bully Dog Programmers - All RZR models - Turbo gain 31hp on 91

So Mike from BMP was nice enough to offer a Group Buy (10+) for BMP ECU Bully Dog Programmers. I believe this is the best option especially for us Turbo guys as we will get 175hp on 91 octane fuel (185hp on 110) and be able to re-flash to stock in case it needs to go to the dealer for warrantee work (I would never do this Polaris I am waiting till my warranty is over to use the tune and just using the detune now so my kids can drive I pinky promise..). Compare the Bully Dog ECU Programmer for $550 not $1000+ to get a flashed ECU and be able to keep the old ECU. Plus the Bully Dog Programmer does more than just tune your car (read below or visit the link to BMP website).

* Normal Price: $650 + $49.99 per tune level
* Group Buy Price: $550.00 with 1 tune + $25 each additional tune (half price)
* Free UPS ground shipping. No tax except in the state of Wisconsin.

Post up who wants one we need 9 more. Also See PM description below. Not sure if they will offer this again so get in on this now!!

RZR XP Turbo Tuning Info

The Bully Dog GT tuner and BMP custom tunes are the most lethal combination ever brought to the RZR world! We have extensively tested with the RZR XP Turbo to make the most horsepower possible using our Superflow 902 state of the art dyno center. All of our tunes feature a locked throttle by wire along with a raised rev limiter, raised speed limiter, optimized timing curve, optimized boost map and optimized fuel curve. We offer various levels of tuning to best suite your needs. The level 3 tune is the max on pump fuel. We recommend going with another lower HP tune for the rare occurrence you run into bad fuel. This would allow you to tune down and still be able to safely continue your ride.

Our programming uses many inputs to control HP output safety
1. After intercooler temp - influences timing and desired boost to prevent detonation and preignition.
2. After turbo temp vs pre-turbo temp - keeps turbo in safe usable efficiency range.
3. After intercooler pressure - influences timing and fuel flow
4. Knock sensor - Detunes engine to a safe level if knock is indicated and maintains until key is cycled

Turbo XP GT Monitors and Data Logs: Speed, RPM, Baro (Pre Turbo Pressure), Throttle %, Battery Volts, Coolant Temp, Timing (MAG & PTO), Injector Pulse Width (MAG & PTO), Manifold Absolute Pressure, Perceived Engine Load %, Boost PSI, Target Absolute Boost/Pressure, Boost Temp Pre-Intercooler, Air/Fuel (with the purchase of additional system).

Many are having trouble tapping in boost gauges with this system. Since the GT runs off of the factory sensors, it will not give you any trouble. The other big benefit is the ability to read target boost. This shows you the values we program into the ECU. If your actual boost is lower than the target boost you know something is wrong (IE boost leak, ECU detune because of bad fuel.. ect).

Fuel Tuning - Obstacles

New to the forum and am of the curious kind. Looking over threads and see that there is a bunch of different tuning issues and troublesome obstacles. Not sure if these are modifications from stock or when adding aftermarket turbos or modifying factory turbo's or with injector changes etc.

It would be nice to see everything in one spot. Please post any tuning issues you have or have had.

So far, i have seen threads with issues of
Bad starting - Hot. Or warm vs cold.
Bad warmup - cold vs hot.
Bad tuning - normally throttle position vs boost inconsistent.
AFR / tuning inconsistent.
Limited autotune. Cant autotune idle.
Limitation of current devices or of factory ecu.
Current tuner really limiting but purchased as it has autotune option. (what are the limitations ?)
Ecu re-flashes are nice for rev limit and ignition timing change for performance, but are not a fuel tuning solution.

900xp engine management with 1000xp engine

I am finishing up my 1000xp transplant with big valve head into my 900xp. im using 48mm 900 throttle bodies and the entire 900 ecm and wiring.
I am using pc5, auto tune and display.

I have been reading through these forums and notice several people leave target afr in autotune to "0" on the 0,5,10,15% tps up to 5000rpm. All other tables for starting off, just set at 13.2 afr? Ive read that apparently the autotune might not be super duper in the low to mid range and that setting the lower values to 0 will help with popping or irratic afr.

How about timing on a 1000xp engine. Ive read here that the 900 xp doesn't need anymore than 2 degrees advance. But BMP and his Bully Dog tuner is moving 7 degrees of timing? Any timing advice with a standard bore 1000xp with built head and cams?

O2 sensor question

My car runs 2 sensors one for gauge and ecu. Car is a z1 turbo conversion with stock ecu. Just had a reflash of ecu and now car runs 10.5 at wot. Has a rough idle. I need more hours (just haven't had time) to get a good plug check to see if I'm running as rich as my afr reads. Question is a 2 wire O2 sensor (the ecu) self heating? I just want to eliminate a bad sensor as the potential problem as I was running leaded race gas last and now with new flash am running unleaded 100 octane. I did the soaked gas rag test on the gauge sensor (6 wire) it goes full lean and full rich as expected (it's an aem gauge). I found the 2 wire sensor had a burnt section of wire as it must have touched the exhaust and cut that back and replaced but prior to repairing I did a continuity check upstream of burnt wire to harness pin and it was ok. Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts as its bugging me. I realize I need to get some testing in to see what my afr readings will be at various loads and if needed can swap out the sensors or have ecu reflashed...........not sure what else it could be. Thanks in advance for any feedback or advice.

Hardcore Tuning Amazing Customer Service!

Shout out to these guys down in Phoenix AZ. Amazing product, and hands down the best customer service you'll get anywhere. I bought the stage 3 set up for my 15' xp4 1000 a few months back right before the recall dropped. I was impressed then with the quick turn around of my ECU and the fact that every time I called with any questions instead of getting a machine and waiting days for a call back I got to speak with a tech that answered everything I threw at him.

Well I finally got my rzr in for the recall last week, the day before taking it in I called Hardcore Tuning and asked about re flashing it again after Polaris f*cks it up...he said send it right down they'll re flash it and send it back asap, no questions asked. It arrived yesterday, Monday the 27th, I called mid afternoon and left a message to make sure it arrived safely and to see if they could do me one more favor and try to get it back by Thursday as I'm going to Utah for the 4th to ride...They called me right back and said they've already flashed it and shipped it back, check my email for a conformation number...said it'll be in my hands Wednesday and have a fun trip this weekend.

These days with so many aftermarket companies out there selling similar products, it's hard to set yourself apart. For me it's easy, great customer service wins me as a customer every time, and it DOESN'T get better than that. I took a risk sending my ECU out days before a trip, they took any stress I had away instantly by taking care of me and making sure my family enjoys the holiday weekend riding.

If you are looking at tuning your SXS, I strongly suggest giving Hardcore Tuning in Phoenix AZ a call.

Hello, I am thinking of getting the ecu reflashed on my '16 900 4. I am told it will add 15hp more hp by doing this. Has anyone had this done? If so what performance change have you seen? Thank you for any and all feedback, it is appreciated!

Has anybody done an ecu reflash on a 2016 rzr 900 4?

What was the power change you saw? Was there any? Was it top speed or low end? I am thinking of doing a reflash, but I would like to hear from some that have done this. Is it worth the price. I am seeing it adds 15whp which would put this machine back to the xp level. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you.

Real world results on ecu tuning on 2016 rzr 900 4 eps

Has anyone had their ecu reflashed on the 2016 900 4, (75 hp)? What was the real world effect? Did you notice low end performance, increased top speed, both, or nothing that you can tell? I am new to this hobby and trying to see if this is worth doing and voiding my extended warranty? Any help would be really appreciated. My wife and I decided to buy one for the family. The sales person helped us pick the 900 4 which is great but we would like a little more power for the dunes. We do more trail riding for sure, but we went to coral pink and we were underwhelmed. Since we can't go back and get the 1000, we are looking for other options without spending a fortune, we decided on the 900 mainly based on the sale persons recommendation, for trails, and size the 1ks are huge! My garage doesn't have too much space so there were a few factors involved. Don't get me wrong we love the 900. There have been a couple spots in wooded areas that the 1k might not have been able to get to due to size, it was a real tight fit for the 900. But I would like to get more power, just around the 88 hp the xp's were will be all I will ever need. From what I have read with keeping everything stock and refreshing the ecu could get us 15hp more, which would be 90hp. I just wanted to hear from people that know if this is indeed true, and is it noticeable in the performance?

Thank you for any and all help. I appreciate it!!
LvLtrain.

Any suggestions on what to do with this set up? Return to stock and let the dealer reflash the ECU and then reinstall tune or don't let the dealer touch the ECU at all?

Bully dog tuner or ECU reflash

$

Does anyone know which would give a better performance gain in hp, both low end and top speed. The Bully dog tuner or an ecu reflash? I am new to the sxs scene and currently have a 2016 900 4, which I love just want to get a little more power out of it. I did choose the 900 specifically for the size over the 1k, I am not looking for insane gains just want a little more (may earojnd the older xp) for the best price without modding every thing. I want something that can be switched back rather easily.
